Conflict Resolution Week in Wyoming - 2017 Print

The Wyoming Agriculture & Natural Resources Mediation Program, in partnership with UW Extension Community Development Team, is hosting two webinars and two workshops to celebrate Conflict Resolution Week in Wyoming on October 16-20, 2017.

Each year, as part of Conflict Resolution Week, a day is set aside to promote awareness of alternative dispute resolution tools and ways to creatively and peacefully manage conflict. This year, Conflict Resolution Day will be October 19, 2017 and there are events planned all week for more opportunities to learn about mediation.  In Wyoming, the Mediation Program has been celebrating Conflict Resolution Day since 2011 and this year, they will be hosting webinars and workshops for anyone interested in learning more about mediation or sharpening their mediation skills.

The two scheduled webinars will take place on October 16, 2017 and October 18, 2017. The webinar on October 16th will focus on identifying and framing issues in mediation and the webinar on the 18th will focus on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Wyoming. The webinars are free to any who would like to participate.

The two workshops will be held in Cheyenne on October 19, 2017 and in Jackson on October 20, 2017.  During these workshops, participants will have the chance to expand their mediation skill set through demonstrations, role play, and discussions. Both workshops will start at 9:00 am and will conclude at 4:00 pm and are open for the public to attend. Each workshop will cost $25.00 to attend with lunch, coffee breaks, and materials included in the registration fee.
