Conflict Resolution Day in Wyoming 2012 PDF Print E-mail

October 18, 2012

Conflict Resolution Day in Wyoming is an annual one-day workshop featuring a variety of mediation and facilitation topics. The workshop is open to participants new to the mediation process, experienced practitioners, attorneys, local, state and federal agencies, non-profits and anyone else interested in learning more about mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

Agenda topics for the morning session include conflict styles, skills mediators use, reframing, facilitation strategies and a live demonstration of a mediation. The afternoon will include discussions of ethical concerns in mediation, strong facilitation, emerging issues in ADR, new tools for the mediator toolbox and more. Both sessions will also feature hands-on activities and skill practice. A networking lunch will also be offered. A complete agenda will be available online at http://uwyoextension.org/crd/.

The workshop is divided up into a morning and afternoon session and registration fees vary. A limited number of scholarships are available. We will host the workshop via video conference with several sites available around Wyoming. On-site facilitators will be present at each location to assist with the learning process. To for more information on locations and registration fees and to download the registration form, visit our partner's website at http://uwyoextension.org/crd/.

Come learn more about mediation and other ADR in Wyoming or sharpen your skills and add new tools to your toolbox. We hope you can join us in October!
